Matthew 25: 1-13 is about a parable.
-
A parable is a vision or illustration.
-
We have a choice to be like the five wise virgins or the five foolish ones.
Ten virgins are waiting for the bridegroom.
Five were wise!
Five were foolish!
"The delayed bridegroom is coming!"
The five wise virgins had oil in their lamps. When the event doors opened they walked in.
The five foolish virgins had to go get extra oil since they weren't ready.
When they got back the event's door was locked, preventing them from entering.
If you are not ready, get ready! The bridegroom is coming! We don't know when He will come!
Lesson take-away:
-
Do not delay; be ready for Christ's return.
-

-
Do not delay in cultivating faith and humility.
-
